Anyone in your chat can type !clip to save the last 30 seconds of your
stream. On Kick, SheekBot cuts the clip itself and puts it on your own clips
page. On Twitch, the clip is made by Twitch and lives on Twitch.
Clipping From Chat
!clipsaves the last 30 seconds!clip 45saves up to 60 seconds (anything between 30 and 60)
SheekBot replies in chat with a link straight away. On Kick the video is ready about 30 seconds later, because Kick's recording runs a little behind live; the link page updates by itself.
To keep chat calm, each viewer can clip once every two minutes (mods have no wait), and a channel can make six clips every five minutes.
Kick: Your Clips Page
Every Kick clip lands on your public clips page:
sheekbot.dialdesigns.org/clips/<your Kick channel name>
Newest clips first, with a preview of each. Share it anywhere: in your
Discord, on your socials, or in a !clips command (create it under
Commands with your page link as the response).
Before your first Kick clip
- Kick must be saving a VOD of your stream. SheekBot cuts clips from
Kick's recording. If VODs are off in your Kick stream settings,
!clipreplies that there's nothing to clip from. - Clips are kept for 30 days on Free and kept on Pro.
Twitch Clips
On Twitch, !clip asks Twitch to make the clip, so it shows up in your
Twitch Clips manager like any other clip.
If !clip replies that clips aren't enabled, reconnect Twitch once under
Integrations so SheekBot gets permission to make clips.
Managing Clips (Pro)
Dashboard → Clips lists your Kick and Twitch clips. From there you can open or delete them.
Replaying a Clip On Stream (Pro)
Mods and you can type !replay to play the newest Kick clip in the middle of
your stream. It plays through your Alert Box overlay, queued with your
alerts so nothing overlaps.
- The first
!replayadds a Clip Replay alert under Alerts; switch it off there to turn!replayoff - One replay can be waiting at a time
See Alerts and Overlays to add the Alert Box.
