Soundboard

Let your viewers play sounds on stream — an air horn, a rimshot, your catchphrase. They type !sound airhorn in chat, or redeem a Twitch channel-point reward, and it plays through your stream.

  • !sound <name> works in Kick and Twitch chat
  • !sounds lists every sound (with its cost, if it has one)

Prerequisites

  • Sounds play through your Alert Box overlay in OBS or Meld (part of Pro). Create one under Dashboard → Overlays if you don't have it yet.
  • Sounds play one at a time, in the same queue as your alerts, so they never talk over a follow or sub alert.

Step 1: Add a Sound

  1. Go to Dashboard → Soundboard → Add sound
  2. Choose the name viewers type — letters, numbers, - or _, e.g. airhorn for !sound airhorn
  3. Pick one of 70+ built-in sounds or upload your own (MP3, WAV or OGG, up to 5MB — short clips work best). Search by name or browse a category; clicking a sound selects and previews it.
  4. Set the volume
  5. Optional settings:
    • Cost in points — viewers spend points to play it (0 = free)
    • Cooldown — how long before anyone can play this sound again (default 30 seconds)
    • Who can play it — everyone, subs and mods, or mods only
    • Twitch channel-point reward — see Step 2
  6. Click Add sound, then the paper-plane button to hear it on your overlay right away

Step 2: Channel-Point Rewards (Twitch, Optional)

  1. On Twitch, create a custom channel-point reward, e.g. Air Horn
  2. In SheekBot, edit the sound and type the reward's exact title in Twitch channel-point reward
  3. When a viewer redeems it, the sound plays

Channel points are the payment here, so the points cost and cooldown you set in SheekBot don't apply — use the reward's own cooldown settings on Twitch.

How Limits Work

  • Each sound has its own cooldown, shared by everyone
  • Each viewer waits 10 seconds between sounds (moderators skip this)
  • Points are earned by chatting on Kick. If a sound costs more than a viewer has, SheekBot tells them, and nothing is taken.
  • At most 3 sounds wait in the queue at once; extra requests get "the soundboard is busy". Your alerts are never pushed out by sounds.
  • If a sound can't play, no points are spent and no cooldown is used up

Troubleshooting

  • "The soundboard isn't set up on stream right now" — the Soundboard alert is switched off. Turn it back on under Dashboard → Alerts (switching it off there is also a quick way to mute the soundboard).
  • The test plays nothing on stream — make sure the Alert Box overlay is in your scene and its audio isn't muted in your OBS or Meld mixer.
  • A channel-point reward doesn't play anything — the title must match the reward exactly (capital letters don't matter).
  • Viewers say they don't have enough points — points come from chatting on Kick. Lower the cost, or make the sound free.
